I visit the clients on site (if possible), to discuss the ideas for the artwork in mind. I take measurements, photos and where necessary, liaise with the architects. or interior designers to get a real understanding of what the client would like, also bringing in my own ideas.
I then provide initial sketches and a quote, which are then sent to the client and after feedback and more discussion I do the final designs and samples. My quotes include all work, from the preparation of the surfaces to the finished installed piece.
On agreement, a deposit is put down and the time line is worked out.
Budget and timing are very high on any project and often I paint the ‘murals ‘ off site on canvas or panels and spend a short time installing them. This saves the client lot of time and money and the piece can be removed at any time in the future.
Some paintings are painted in the studio, ready for printing onto aluminium. This method is used especially by cruise ship companies and hotels to then have a more durable surface and it also enables them to reprint the same image for different spaces.
